Feminista Peruana habla en la Universidad de Estocolmo ...

Julieta Kirkwood
Julieta Kirkwood was a Chilean sociologist, political scientist and feminist activist.
She was born in Chile in 1936, and lived in Santiago all this life, she studied sociology in the Universidad de Chile. Then in 1979 she was a professor and investigator in Flacso (Latin america Faculty of social sciences), This is where she was realized her academic and theoretical job most important.
She died in Chile, 1985.
She is a reference of the feminism in Chile and in America Latina. She created the "Circulo de estudios sobre la mujer" giving way to the activism from the sociological investigation. Among her studios are note "Ser politica en Chile: las feministas y los partidos", "Tejiendo Rebeldias" and "Feminarios". She also collaborated in journals like "Furia" and "Boletin del Circulo de Estudios de la mujer".
I like Julieta Kirkwood because is reference of feminism in America Latina, her theorical and her activism is so cool and she is posed in opposition to the dictatorship in Chile so she is really admirable.
